What the heck does the line as "confirmed by Rankings in Validator" mean and would you be able to translate that for someone using SPEC or RDSS.
Hi Jim
To be honest I have absolutely NO idea.

The one thing that is consistent is in that ALL of the Followups covering the advanced programs Doc Sartin preached that folks HIDE the horses that for whatever reason we wouldn't bet. Including low odds favs we were prepared to play against for WIN.

This is a Sartin methodology site. I wonder how many shooters actually follow his prescribed instructions in TODAY'S racing?

Sorry I couldn't be more help Jim but I really have no idea what the good doctor speaks of.

Anyone with insights please feel free to jump in

Hello Jim

"AFTER HIDES, we bet with impunity any horse in our Top 3 Bottom Line/Betting Line TIERS (NOT RANKS) as confirmed by the Rankings in Validator"

What the heck does the line as "confirmed by Rankings in Validator" mean and would you be able to translate that for someone using SPEC or RDSS.

Impunity mean "You can't get punished"
What Doc is saying and what Richie is saying here is the key

If you have 4 or 5 horses on the bottom line betting line
and you want to "hide" any horse with odds or reasons not to
bet for the win, you can hide them. The rankings on the Validator screen
which are the VDC readouts to the far right are the key to the Validator program
They also appaer as the 3rd panel on the Incremental Match Up Screen
or more specificly 3rd fraction plus total pace panel

These are the same VDC readouts. The VDC readouts are to VALIDATE
and help make final betting decisions

So you will not be punised by hiding horses on BLBL
because the VDC readout is not llike Phase 111 linear
math Hiding and lthen looking for confirmation on the VDC screen is what the Validator
offers.

Hope my explanation helps
Bill from Brooklyn

The Validator (V/DC) readout does not appear in Speculator. It does in RDSS. V/DC is part BL/BL and part 'Velocity relative to Deceleration', one of Sartin's holy-grails since mid-1990's, post Energy. So, if you eliminate an unbettable BL/BL ranked favourite, and the remainders rank still in the top 2 and ties V/DC you are assured (given prudent and consistent paceline selection) that they are contenders despite their formerly mid-pack BL/BL rankings. In other words, it 'validates' that it's OK to bet your new 2nd or 3rd ranked BL/BL choices, despite they may previously have been, say, 3rd or 4th ranked.

The addition of V/DC attempted to take the already highly functional BL/BL a step further from a 'wagercapping' point of view, by generating confidence to bet other than top ranked (and sometimes underlay odds) choices.

Thanks all for the response. To Bills point

"They also appear as the 3rd panel on the Incremental Match Up Screen
or more specificly 3rd fraction plus total pace panel"

Would this be something to use to "Validate" BL/BL in Spec?

That readout in Spec is not the same readout in Val (though format is the same). Spec shows True Speed + F3. Val shows V/DC (and in RDSS Segments screen it's either, depending on Val/Spec mode). You should try it in Spec and see how that works.
