Thanks

Thanks for the compliment Pat.
Congratulations to Barb and all the other RDSS players in this contest.
I would like to encourage all of you to join in and play in this contest.
Win or lose it does not cost anything to play, but only takes a little of your time.

I didn't play AQU yesterday. But I didn't second guess the ratings in the above display - that's up to the individual (sometimes for better, sometimes for worse ...). Maybe the horse cannot run a lick on dirt. But if he can, the adjusted Speed Ratings convert his last 2 lines quite competitively with the rest, he is running against easier competition and is more consistent than most (higher CR Class Rating), has superior CSR Composite Speed Rating, has GOOD Late ratings and loves to pass horses, looks like he recently alternates Wins with 'vacations' and at NYRA, PLUS ... he is 14-1. Why would you NOT include him among multiple horses in a leg of a Pick 3 or 4.

Horses with no question marks don't pay so much. Seems to me this one had fewer ??? than most: the possibilities were not totally inscrutable.

Anyway, that's what occurs to me. Next time, I hope I bet it

Ted

Not usually Bob, but this horse has been running on nothing but turf since last May, with wins at Saratoga and Belmont in higher class races and using the adjusted speed rating botlt , line 2 put him on top on the BL/BL with a 1 VDC. Corollaries suggested he had a good chance. Also, as Ted said, lately he has been running an in-out pattern and Sunday was slated to be an in day.
Usually I'm won't use a turf line in a dirt race, but this is a pick 4 contest and it doesn't cost to take some chances
I liked him enough to put a small w,p,s as well..
I don't know the reasoning of the other 5 who used him, but this was mine.

RDSS Players continue to do well in this Contest. This past weekend (Jan 9,10), mezmac hit the Saturday Late Pick 4 for $2533. On Sunday, both The Pook and mowens333 hit the Early Pick 4 for $1155, however inclement weather forced cancellation of the card after the 7th race so according to Contest Rules, NONE of that day's Pick4 results counted for the Contest . Hopefully those gentlemen took a little real money home from those early races!

Congratulations everyone! Still trying to hit the board, myself ...

Still plenty of time to get 10 days play in before Mid-March or so, with a 3-day holiday weekend coming up (Jan 16-18).

Ted
