Herb's Back

Herb Mc Cauley is riding again this year after 10 yrs due to an injury. He gave a beautiful ride in the 4th on the turf splitting horses and won by a head. The 11-1 price on Nicky The Cat made it even sweeter.

Wow, that's an achievement. I remember the name, though I don't recall him ever being in this part of the country. He just turned 51 earlier this month, started riding again last fall and according to wikipedia, has won several since he's been back

Over 3000 wins altogether. Congratulations, Herb and thanks for letting us know, Jeff.

Jeff,

Hello my friend. Yes, I noticed the McCauleyH name listed in the past performances and wondered if it was THE Herb McCauley of yore. Now I know. Thanks.

Later,

Jon

Jon,I wish Rick Wilson[if you knew Mc Cauley you probably know him as well] was able to recover from his injuries to ride again, very few jockeys could break a horse out of the gate as well as he did.
