windows 7
Im sure this has been addressed many times before but now that Im getting back into racing as the weekend warrier I planning on using my old SPEC 160 (yes I have tame dos and my AODDS 98 which run under older windows. I do have windows xp home and pro still but I wonder if there is a painless way to get them to run under windows 7. Be nice to see AODDS and SPEC on my 24 inch moniters. Any help would be fantastic! Thanks for reading this
Cheers, Doug |

VMPlayer
Download VMPlayer. Just google to find it). Then you can install Windows XP on it and run your older programs.

If you're talking about AOdds 98 Super Gold, the Windows based version, not the DOS, it will not install on Win 7 64 bit. Randy Kovach just didn't set up the installer for 64 bit systems.
Not sure if it would install on 32 bit Win 7. It definitely installs fine on Win XP 32 bit. I run it on a Win PC virtual machine (32 bit Win XP) within my Windows Ultimate 64 bit. Don't know a thing about Spec 160 but I run all my DOS programs with DOSBOX on the Win PC virtual machine. |

Upgrade to Win7 pro. Download virtual machine for xp. You can install Aodds Super Gold on the virtual machine as long as you have all your install info. It will run fine. I do this. Jim |
