F3 Times
Gary and Houndog do you ever look at the F3 times?I have started to keep a model for CT and so far in 4 races both at 6.5 and 7 the winner had a 31.00 or over. It's only been a small sample so far 4 races but I thought I would run it by you.

Follow Up 32
Jeff, I don't know if this will help with your research, but starting on page 54 they have an article that discusses F3 as well as other readouts.

Jeff:
It is always a good idea to model races to determine the required numbers for winning. However, no number can stand on its own. F3 must be considered in the context of the pace of the individual race. Gary |

I remember Doc telling us that he looked at the F3 of early horses when they win, to see what it took for them to hold on. He said that a fast F3 in losing effort was mis-representing the horse's winning ability.
