Tim, do you continue to use your improving E/L rating for both dirt routes and sprints at lesser tracks? How do you treat grass races as to the E/L rating since most of these types of races run from the 3rd or last fraction, especially in routes?

Cheap speed is universal and with the way the breeding industry keeps breeding speed to speed there aren't that many horses at any distance up to 9 furlongs that can close. Improving speed to pinpoint winners has been working since Tom Anslie first wrote about it in the 60's.

Grass races I never look at the e/l....It is a dirt phenomenon only.
