Trackmaster EXE Files

I am getting a different type of file for TM - and Val4 doesn't recognize it.
It says it is a application (.exe) file but looks like a compressed file. When it first downloads, it looks normal (see photo) but it changes as son as it is completed. The file is the Derby file.

Anyone else having file issues at TM on DOS programs?

Looks like it is not the file - the program will not recognize any files.
I unzipped a fresh copy and same deal. Program runs up to that point, but just can't find files.

Tom,

Those TMPP format files are a self-extracting archive file, so they have an EXE extension but are actually a ZIP file containing the files used by Val4.

You don't unzip them yourself. Just open Val4 and specify the date, confirm the track for that date and Val opens the ZIP file itself and reads the contents of the individual components within the ZIP. Make sure the downloaded file is located in the required folder: C:\TRKMAST

Here's what I got:

Size: 50.6 KB

Most likely the downloaded files are fine. Hope I understood your question right.

Ted

D'oh!

I moved the folders to my F drive to free up space on C.
When I put them back, everything worked.
Thanks, Ted....I was thinking, "I'm doing something stupid, but what?"
