Cigar Mile
Groupie Doll (and new $3.1M owners) said to be ready!
I suspect this will be the Equibase race of the week. Not sure how soon I can get the card. Who all will be working this one?

Should be a good race. 1 turn mile, a healthy dose of speed horses. Question is: will there be enough value to get financially involved? Last edited by Seven Furlongs; 11-27-2013 at 04:08 PM. |

On a Cigar Mile related note, just got this notice in the mail from Equibase;
The Aqueduct - Betfair Hollywood Park Challenge - November 30, 2013 is now open! This week's challenge will consist of 5 races at Aqueduct and 3 races at Betfair Hollywood Park, including these graded stakes races: Cigar Mile Handicap (Gr. 1) - $500,000 Demoiselle Stakes (Gr. 2) - $400,000 Remsen Stakes (Gr. 2) - $400,000 Comely Stakes (Gr. 3) - $400,000 Generous Stakes (Gr. 3) - $100,000 Miesque Stakes (Gr. 3) - $100,000 It is EASY and FREE to play! Free is good, and if it's "easy" which one of our RDSS competitors with a free Equibase account will win?

As I suspected the Cigar is Race of the Week. Equibase sent the PP this morning, for old school workup.

My top 6 are nearly the same as yours atkinsrr.
I have been puzzling on this race for quite a spell now and I just can't get to that "feel good" place about it. One thing that really bothers me is when I change a single paceline for a single horse the readout results are HUGELY effected. Given the random nature of available pacelines for this race (and a bunch of races on this card!) I'm not confident of getting the "right" one for each and every horse. While that makes it a fun race to work, throwing darts with one hand over your eyes isn't the way I want to place a wager. I may have to enjoy watching this race for the pleasure of seeing them run and try to score on a different one. At this moment I my BL shows it 3-4-1-9. TPR and segs show 3-2-1-4. VDC and CSR also point to the 3.

How does 6, Capo, look Appy?
I've had him in my virtual stable for a while. Like Central Banker he came off a layoff and smoked the field at high odds.
