Sunday Ashley Cole Turf Stakes at Belmont
Here is Sundays Ashley Cole Stakes at Belmont going 9f on the inner grass course.
** Note I am pretty sure the #11 and #12 are entered for main track only and should scratch if the race stays on lawn**

Missed it! But had some good fortune with the 5th race.
Compliance Officer (#4) is the kind of horse I usually bet against; four consecutive wins is much to ask from any horse, and the low odds helped me make my case. However this time I was wrong. Don't recall how he figured in RDSS, I rarely re-visit races I missed.
COMPLETED: 86506207817337 BEL #5 $1 Exacta 2,5,6,7,WT,8 none $ 4.00 0.00 - $ 4.00 COMPLETED: 69234441238131 BEL #5 $1 Exacta 8,WT,2,5,6,7 none $ 4.00 $ 120.25 + $ 116.25 Can't win all the turf races I bet, but caught the 5th at Belmont; would love to post that I won both doubles and all the pick 3's keying the #8, but I wasn't sharply focussed today. So when that's case, I've learned to close up shop and call it a day. Made one bet against "compliance officer" in the feature and went out and enjoyed a beautiful fall day. By no means was the #8 a lock, you don't see a win bet, triefecta or superfecta here, for me a conservative over & under exacta bet was all I could handle. Mr. Enrico (#8) had a couple of things that caught my attention - things the crowd doesn't look at and undervalues. His last win came under similar track condtions; a good turf course at Belmont at 9-1, the race that preceeded it was another win at 17-1, again at Belmont. Mr. Enrico is a classic picture of an over achiever. He didn't fare to well with RDSS, but like many horses he runs just fast enought to win. However he wins when nobody is looking. Regards, Chris |
