Thumbs up AQU 02-29-08 (Race -1)

This race is at 6 furlongs and sets up some early competitive speed and moderate pace pressure.

I believe it will be between the (8) and (3)
My single pick preference would be the (8)

If I were to play the exactas I would go with:

8 with 1, 2, 3
and
3 with 1, 2, 8

Your input and valued opinions are always welcomed.

Wink Overlay Considerations

Overlay Considerations.

Watch the board before the race.

(8) AT 8-5 ODDS OR BETTER
(3) AT 9-2 ODDS OR BETTER

8 appears to be going backwards.

I saw this too late

I wagercapped on the 5 and 7 - the two best odds of the RDSS top three selections at 15 minutes to post. #5 - Kong's Revenge - gave me some anxious moments after going out early and then dropping back to last before firing late to catch the win in the last 70 yards, unusual for the inner dirt sprint profile.

The third race has been reduced to a field of five, but I'll likely go with Ease (#4) who gets the top BL/BL score and Santa's Gold (#3), knocking out the ML favorite - if the ML holds up to expectations.

As Tim said the 8 never got a grip.
His odds were right but legs weren't.

You did a nice job. There are plenty of more races to play. Thanks for the participation

For the finale, I just split the bet on #s 6 and 9 - let's see what happens. They were the top two RDSS contenders. I managed to collect in the 7th but bombed out in the 3rd. Even ifI lose the 9th, I'll have come out a couple of dollars ahead for the day.

#5 Kongs Revenge was claimed for $30,000 33 days ago and is now in for 10,000 with a purse of $16,000. The winners share was $9,600.
I bet this horse but held my nose when I did and was pleasantly surprised by a $9.20 pay off.

I had the same hesitation, but decided to go with the program rather than my instinct. Usually I talk myself out of such bets.
