Rx?
I am slowly finding out that the "Rx" can be an extremely powerful tool.
Can someone assist me with what the "Rx" actually is? Thank you in advance. Happy Punting, Jon |

Here you go Jon!
RDSS 2.1 Documentation Rx Documentation ProfitLine component of Rx should be back in business sometime this month, along with new BRIS Prime Power rating. New flavours of Rx coming, including live odds as a weighted component. Cheers, Ted

Ted what kind of changes is BRIS making to their prime power rating...this is one of the numbers that I track from every race that I handicap...didn't think that they would ever make any changes to it.....? Randy A.

Randy - I meant BRIS Prime Power rating is 'new to RDSS', not that the rating itself is new in any way. I don't really know anything about it, other than that Top ranks have a pretty strong (not profitable standalone) but strong correlation to winners and in-the-money horses (i.e. Contenders), and the top to bottom ranks correlate to public odds order. Looks like you got some great plans for additions to the program. Looking forward to seeing them, and seeing you at DMR if you plan on coming. Al |

Thanks Ted...I've kept result records on Bris P/Pwr for about 7 years now and very seldom does a horse win with a Prime Power number of 8 or higher...usually top 7...win of course that doesn't help you if there are only 7 horses in the race. This does not include races for 2 year olds. Also during that period of time only 4 horses in the Breeders Cup have won with a Prime Power of 8 or above...This is really helpful in large fields....Randy

Ted...you are correct Prime Power is not a stand alone number but I use it to eliminate horses that the public may think are contenders and are being bet on.
