I know it sounds like a broken record but another period of downtime likely tomorrow as well - Wednesday Nov 9. I need to call in some assistance from the Forum software tech support people.

This might be the final post on this topic for a while, and I may soon take down this special announcement.

The requirement to upgrade the vBulletin forum software was delayed for an unknown amount of time - at least until sometime next year. Technically speaking - we no longer have to upgrade the PHP server language to a newer version which the older forum software can't run on. For now ...

We could never figure out why the newer forum software would not run normally (speedily) on our current web host. It has all been a BWT (BIG WASTE of TIME) and money.

I will face this issue again inevitably and it may result in changing hosts or upgrading the kind of server package used by the 2 web sites we run (PaceandCap.com for discussion forums and SartinMethodology.com for the Library and RDSS Registration server).

That's all I've got for now.

Ted

Great news Ted. I see nothing wrong with what we have now.

Agreed. All things being equal, I'd prefer to keep exactly this for as long as possible. Back to regularly scheduled work ...
