I upgraded mine from a MS Surface Pro 3 to a 5 (they aren't making the 4 any more). Together with all the periferals that Ted mentioned and a smaller external battery, I can go all day at the track, which I did last year at Sar with my 3. I have 2 other laptops, an Acer and an Asuz which I find I'm not using much any more.
An advantage of getting a 5 or better is an additional slot for a mini card, giving you another drive. |

Thanks
Thanks, everybody, I am planning on upgrading my Think Pad in time for Saratoga. My poor old Think Pad is down to only about 1.5 hours battery life on battery save mode :/

Good point. I think that any modern brand name computer is going to be able to handle the computing without a glitch. In addition to battery life, ergonomics is an issue. Does the machine feel right in your hands, do the keyboard and the mouse feel right when you do routine things with it? |
