X's and P's in Val4 In the Equalized, Normalized and Adjusted pacelines, I see x's an

From a Private Message

The little p or x near the pace line distance shows up if the pace line is a different distance sprint or route than the distance of the race you are working

Here is an example The date is Jan 13 race 9 from Parx Here is Jersey Babe

The distance of the race is 8.3 a route

Lines 2,3, and 4 are routes. But the rest of the pace lines are sprints
So since the lines are Equalized, Normalized and Adjusted pacelines,
Doc added a little p for projected
If the race was a sprint then you would see a X by lines 2,3 and 4 because
they are Equalized, Normalized and Adjusted Extracted Route pacelines,

Agreed - Belmont Stakes day was a tough day (i.e. unprofitable) for me too, using RDSS (and I'm guessing Val4 - same thing, if I was using that).

And yet... yesterday, and on Preakness Day and Black-eyed Susan Day and KY Derby Day and KY Oaks Day, on all those days RDSS (with a little help from the operator) made piles of money, for me.

I hope you did too.

Rdss2 picked nothing?

Don't believe RDSS2 has ever picked anything for me! I do the picking and some days I do better than others; yesterday I didn't do so well, it happens. It's the carpenter that builds the home, not the hammer. A concept some find difficult to grasp.

So what can one expect from RDSS2?

For me it helps impose order over chaos. The operative word here is help. RDSS2 with it's quick access to any screen I choose, puts the contenders in front of me quickly; sometimes I question the clockers at Sartin Downs and then I'm required to make a decision - are the numbers accurately reflecting reality, or am I going to overide them with my judgement? It's situational and no one can do this for you. This is what you have to bring to the table.

To anyone still strugling with RDSS2, don't concede to the moment. Things of value often come with a price. though in this case many of us agree, it's worth it.

Regards,
chris

well just a thought, but the software didnt know that PALACE MLACE was racing with "BL OFF" which doesnt always get a INM horse but it did in this race. unless one plays trainer angels.

Blinkers On?

Apparently Rdss2 does not have an option to display equipment changes; however the DRF web site offers a [B]Free program under Entries that is usually accurate and they did have the change listed for Palace Malice.

chris
