It's all there in the teachings from 6 to 8 years ago. GeorgeC mentioned in his post in another thread about what a great teacher Richie P was. That is so true. He had a knack for explaining all this that I didn't necessarily understand from The Hats books. So I'm trying to get closer to their levels of performance. I am not anywhere near Hats level and may never be, but I'm getting better.

Pook thanks!

What I typically do is match using the DRF PP (predicted pace, line section, contenders) and then selects that line in RDSS. (Sometimes I take a peek at the adjusted in RDSS.) So it looks like we’re doing the same thing just going about it in different ways.

Do you look at RDSS only?

One of the main reasons I use the DRF PP for is when the horses are very closely matched I take other traditional (hope that not a bad word) handicapping methods into account.

Yeah I am an RDSS only guy now. Sometimes I'll look at posted PP's for the Challenge each week but my eyeballs are so use to the RDSS layout and the convenient way it sets up Matchup info that I find PP's difficult. If I actually go to the track I use PP's because I don't have a laptop.
