Since we're all warmed up from Pete's race down the hill at Santa Anita a couple of weeks ago, I thought we might try another.
I like turf races loaded with early speed and this state bred stakes race qualifies. http://www.brisnet.com/php/bw_pdf_vi...param3=1170715

I posted this race because it's chalked full of early speed. I'm looking OTE.
The 3,5,6,11,12,13 are all early and are out. The rest: 1: Has made nice moves from the fifth position and runs the course well. Contender. 4: The 4 is early which doesn't fit my shape but she has run well against 21.3 and 21.1 on this course. Contender for now. 7: OTE but not making the kind of moves I'm looking for. OUT. 9: Router with good internals on turf. Only race on this course was in this race last year. OUT. 14: Nice solid OTE against 21.3. Contender. Pick: I'm going to pick 2 horses here with such a large field. I'll toss the 4 because she doesn't fit the race shape. That leaves me with the 1 and 14 who both fit the race shape, can run against a 21.3 or faster, and make big power moves. I think the 14 will be behind the 1 just in case it gets very fast. The 1 and 14 are my picks. GL |

I saw that line for the 6 but discounted it because it was a maiden race. It's a good line though running against a 21.2.

You pretty much have to be looking OTE if you are any kind of true Matcher
MUUUUUUU's unite. We seem to be on much the same horses. I can see the 1 doing it too but his last race didn't inspire me. We'll see. Pook |

Looking for a horse in good EP/P position:
I like the 4 and 6. If I was looking for a BOM it would be the 1 Mike |

Thanks Mike.....jeez I go out to dinner figuring that maybe if the #7 pulls it off his morning line of 12-1 may have escalated into a bomber. Not so. Twas off at 5-1 and the #14 was down to 2-1. Not complaining though with a $13 WIN and a $7.20 PLACE.
