One or 2 horse bet
I forgot does the methodology still want us to bet two horses or can we get by with just betting one, any info would be great.

FWIW: What I've absorbed from the FollowUps seems to prefer the 2 horse method for consistent profitability. The to-date stats from my software evaluation period conflict with that view, although I am not using my own two top contenders. For a 2 horse method I used my top and the RDSS highlighted (under the program numbers) top rated contender. So far using my own selections for a 1 horse to win bet outperform using the 2 horse method, and by a considerable margin based on ROI figures. Twice in 16 cards the RDSS suggested selection has bettered my own over the course of a full card.
Granted my statement is based on a relatively small sample size, but it's MY trend. I would be very interested to hear how that compares to the results others are having.

The Doc taught to bet your top 2 choices and not betting the program top 2 blindly. No program can know what is happening on the track on a given day.You need to be able to adjust to the reality of the day in front of you.. I've been doing what Doc preached for over 20 yrs with good success.

Lt1, thanks for the post.
I don't at all intend to pry, but could you describe what you call "good success"?

LT posts his picks daily on another site. Ask him and I'm sure he will direct you to them. (If he's to shy, pm me I'll direct you) You'll see what kind of success he has. He's tough me and a few others around here. He's also giving out several P6's this year.

"Good success" becomes GREAT success when you have been publicly recognized for a stretch of seriously superior handicapping. Twice, I think.
I decided it's probly a good plan to try to do what he says he does. I've been re-studying again tonight!

Hey guys there are a lot of excellent cappers in this group including several who take the time and effort to post teaching threads. I would suggest that you read them as well as the followups. As Doc once told me in a bar in Baltimore all the teachers he used were good but we normally find one who we identify with more than the others for numerous reasons. So like I said take advantage of all that is offered here.
