Also known colloquailly as May 24 weekend, or May 2-4 (as in 24 case - beer) because it usually falls around May 24, i.e. next weekend. Maybe there's some Free Trade provision that it can't fall on the same weekend as Memorial Day. Whatever, the official lauch of Spring, gardening season (and black flies in this neck of the woods).
