Enough, I surrender

It seems that I am not who I thought I was. I should surrender and leave for awhile, my teammates have other issues to deal with, and probally do not need the added pressure of this contest right now.

See Previous Post. "Prayers for my teamate "

I was dead last this week and not much better last week, and my team mate is not getting better, instead of me winning one for the gipper, (Rich), I lost horribly !!

Besides pissing people off already, I think a sneaking away party is needed for me, see y'all !!

Guess I did not learn the program like I thought I did, the results speak for themselves, oh well.

Thank you everyone who helped me, Bill V., thank you so much.

PS: I have many dvd's crammed with all the Follow Ups, most of the seminars, with audio and workbooks, and many other Sartin stuff, do I post them to ebay, or ask here first. I had enough, and besides I have no money to continue downloading and or betting, why continue, would you?

Ted or Bill , edit the last pargraph if you need to, okay, no hard feelings

Well Patrick

You seem to have hit bottom. So now why don't you take a break

If I was you I would stop betting and downloading for a few weeks

When you feel better than just go back and READ the follow ups
again and then chart what winners pace lines look like

Go back to races you know you won. You have records right ?
If you don't then make that your first goal
Keep records READ !!! about contenders and pace lines
Stop looking for the best read out !!!!

In the mean time go back to the contest area and
look for races were people have the winner and if you
have the same card redo the race.
Just notice how often the winner comes from a recent plus paceline
Do your plus plus within a zero and zeros for every horse in every race
you can do this in the time you used to handicap

Make it your job.

Learn how to do your ESP notations

Think about contenders not readouts

Forget about contest
Just try to be better than you

Hope you feel better

I'm sorry Patrick, but I thought you were better than that. It's all well and good to say you've had enough, but what about your teammates in the contest. You begged people to help you form a team and many helped you to do that. Your one team mate did so with much reluctance, but only to help out a friend. And what about your other teammate who has faithfully gone along with you.
So you're near the bottom. So what. So are we. But stuff happens in life and you keep plowing along in spite of it. I know we are going to stay at or near the bottom for the next few weeks because of certain circumstances, but are we giving up...NO.
I had faith in you. You disappoint me greatly.

Patrick,

Sorry to intrude here as I do not know you but if this is the case
you are smart to walk away. In my younger days I was throwing
all my hard earned money at the track and running up credit cards
to do so. Fortunately I realized this is not the way to live and was
able to stop on my own, I do still play mostly weekends but ONLY
WITH WHAT I CAN AFFORD.

Im sure your teamates will understand and if they dont you have
to do what is best for you.

Take that money your wasting and save it as you never know when
you will need it.

Take Care
Jeff

One size does dot fit all

Thats too bad Barb

But If Patrick's mindset is of failure. Making him feel guilty about leaving his teamates is not the reason to go back

The man needs to step back , This is not a one time deal
where somebody blows a gasket after a few bad losing streaks
This is a over and over again problem which we have seen for years This man needs to be reprogrammed. What ever Patrick "should" do
He must deal with.

From a distance it seems like part of Patrick's problem is he is too
dependent on what others do.

No body walks out on teamates. If Patrick were on my team I would just
want him to be happy> I can't imagine the pain he must have felt writting that first post

Jeff

Great point Jeff

Patrick must have thousands of races he has downloaded over the years
EQUIbase has a historical chart system (free) Patrick can just work on races at his own pace and check his own progress

Spending money he does not have on downloads is not going to help him

Boy Jeff did that strike a nerve. Me too. It took something traumatic in my life (which I will not go into) that caused me to change my outlook on the game and got me to go it alone and be serious.

I would strongly recommend Patrick permanently walk away from the game. Do not spend another dime on software (He is active here and at HSH) or downloads or spend time on horse racing boards. I hope Patrick continues to lose weight and truly find happiness. I wish him nothing but the best. However, if prior patterns re-emerge, I would imagine we have not heard the last from the truck driver.

Jim G,

This is what I was trying to tell him as well great point.

I expect there are more then us two who have been through that
of betting beyond our means.

Like the pic of the dog

I do wish I had the willpower to lose weight as Patrick has

Bill V,

Good points too , his well being is much more important then some
horse race contest

Jeff

I'm sorry Bill and Jeff. Patrick knows what I mean and I stand by what I said. You all know me. I'm not a mean person and I can understand almost anyone's circumstance especially Patrick's. Lord knows I've been through most myself.
Our team is between a rock and a hard place these next few weeks, but NONE of us are giving up. We are continuing on with a positive attitude that things have only one way to go and that's up when we get back on an even keel. Any one of us could have thrown in the towel, but leaving our team mates in the lurch is not in the way you do things. Once a team is formed, you stick by your mates come hell or high water. It's all for one and one for all.
Ted, this may not belong here and delete it if you will, but that's the last I'll say of it.
