SUN0220 race 5

Here is my BLBL

while I am doing the race I ran it trough Valm
Both BL/BL are very close
I hope Ted can get the top rated horses to sort
like the old BLBL
Its one gripe I have with RDSS. the small size of the font with all the wide open spaces drives me nuts and the no sort is making me work harder
than Valm /Val/spec160 Ted I was wondering if this is something planned

No big deal just I'm very used to the layout of Val/spec

Bill,

ALL the readouts will be sortable by whatever column of data you want, and it will be remembered from the last chosen sort. The default for the BL/BL screen will be Primary Line Score (i.e. BL/BL), so same order as Val and Spec.

If you can wait for the next update (later this week), then show me a screen shot of a screen or screens with 'too much wide open space' (if any), I'd appreciate that. The BL/BL screen drives me a bit nuts - TOO dense. I'd like to remove those Primary Factor ranks to another screen, leaving just the Primary Line Score (same with the Supplementary Factor ranks). Let me know what you think.

Ted

Result

Here is the result of the race. Bill has the winner on TOP.

My matching once AGAIN eliminates the place horse.

we want to bet the horse closest to the lead positionally factoring in pace of race when matching.

til next week

That #2 place horse tough to get. I couldn't even give it a pl but he opened up at even money and closed about 6-1. I had winner on top but too short price for me. I played the last 2 races and had both winners at $18 and $20.
Good opportunituies at Sun I think, too bad we only get em once a wk.
Once again, great job, guys and thanks.

Richie:

I am very interested in how you selected the lines for each horse in the race. I think I understood how and why you did number 1 which initially looked confusing to me. Would you be kind enough to go into a little more elaboration on the other horses, especially the multiple line horses?

Hi Gary,
That "Original" screen showing the raw data is the only screen I use when working a race.

I use multiple lines on horses because it allows me to see a "picture" in my head of what the horse might be capable of doing against today's matchup. I only use multiple lines on FAST horses Gary. That is what I was taught to do.

Here is an example screenshot I used from last week's contest race here. The 6 and 9 are FAST horses. The 9 has only that 1 line available as it was his only race.

The #6 I used 3 lines for these reasons:
1) The Lad 7.5f line shows a tandem with the #2. The 6 DESTROYED the #2 so THAT line gets me to eliminate the 2 horse.

2) The Retama line makes the horse FAST PLUS shows fighting at the 2c. This line makes the horse the WINNER today imo. Positionally after the early 5 stops the #6 takes over.

3) The Lad 8f line shows me the horse can also win from a further out POSITION if he should get into traffic trouble etc which OFTEN happens in turf races.

The #6 won the race easily.

So putting all those lines together and forming a "big picture" of the horse's ability TODAY is why I use the multiple lines.

Richie
