Val4 vs. Val2

In 2006,Trackmaster made changes on their speed ratings.It made the old
Val2,Val3 and Val3c useless because their speed ratings were all out of whack.
And i've seen with my old Validator series...But i've been running my old Val2 and i have not encountered any problems at all...let's compare it side-by-side with
Val4...the top one is Val4 while the bottom one is Val2...note the speed ratings of Val2 and it is not too far from Val4...
Let's do Turfway Park today (2/15) race 6...

I like looking at Val2's pp better...case in point ,today 2/16 at FG race 6...horse #2
Naughty Lottie...if you are in a hurry,you would pick paceline #1 and was probably the line to use because it did not affect the top picks,but using "F6" Paceline Indicaor you can use both lines 1 or 2..but with Val2,i will use line 2 and with "F6",checking line 1 or 2, the 2 is the line to use...

Because i use Val4/Val2 just to pick pacelines.It is so much easier.But i ran it thru EXDC or
Energy for my final selections.EXDC/Energy says EARLY...looking at the VDC screen,top 2 EPR horses were 10 and 12...
I am not an 'expert'.I just have this procedure i do and works for me.

On final note...

I always recommend RDDS to new players and to those who want to upgrade.It's got all the bells and whistles that Ted can put in and he keeps on improving it.

I want to pay tribute to Bill V who was always enthusiastic to old program users and has always offered encouragement and help.He has nothing but kindness in his heart.We miss him...As long as i am making a small profit and having fun,i'll continue to use the old programs.I don't know why there's a few who hates old dinosaurs like us.

Nice handicapping and wagering.

Is Turfway running early?

I noticed that 10 was the top BL/BL horse and 12 was 2nd, but tied with two others. The 10 and the 12 were the top 2 Total Energy horses, which is always strong. The 10 and 12 were also the top 2 EPR horses. Also, the beaten lengths at second call, one is on the lead and the other is only one back.

Really good betting these two, strong handicapping and good wagering,

At Turfway Park:
In sprints,with the exception of maiden races almost all winners in the last 3 racing days
have been within 2 lenghts of the leading horse in the second call.
I have started my handicapping/betting this week.I made a profit in the last 3 years and i
plan on increasing my bets slightly and see how it goes all the way to the end of October.I play here in the Vegas racebooks.
