I've checked it out. Real good at picking favorites. The newspaper is real good at that also. Save your money.

Past performance generator does not pick favs, to be exact it has no selections. Some Bris products do have selections noted at the bottom, but this product you read it like the racing form you buy at the track. It is made to configure its output to the way you want to see it. Some cults die hard and bitterness is is the number one nail in the coffin. Think about it sometimes when you post, or when there are no posts.

Picks

Fast
Thanks I was wondering about the picks too
Since I just started looking around it I figured if it did make picks I would just ignore them. Anyway I was interested when you posted so I downloaded it since being free the price was right

Don't know if cult is the right word

I looked, I tried it and after a while I found that
Val/Synthesis TM DL was better for me
The varient is messsing me up sometimes

But rather than type in all those pace lines into VALM
I do better reading the follow up between races here at home

Been doing much better last few days Thanks to all you guys here

Bill

The product I have here, with the same exact screen you posted is BRIS Custom PP Generator Version 2.218 and it does make selections or at least it seems to.
At the top of each race it rates the following:
Speed Last Race
Prime Power
Speed Last Race
Best Speed At Distance
Then at the bottom of each race it ranks the horses in their anticipated order of finish.
I only used the product to identify the betting options for each race. I used to compare it's results to another product I was using at the time and it almost always picked favorites.
Also found that when you change or manipulate the filters (track condition, distance, recency) it never changed the order of finish of the ranked horses.
It didn't give me any information that I already had other than betting options so I found it of limited use. If you can find some use for it and find it helpful then use it.

As far as the cult comment, really don't know what you are talking about there. I'm certainly not a member of any cult.
You asked if anyone had any experience with this product and I simply responded. Sorry you didn't like the answer but that was my opinion.
As far as being biased toward a particular system or method, I am not. I think if you take a systematic approach to evaluating a race using a set of proven paramaters the results are predictable up to a point. There are a lot of options out there which will help arrive at that conclusion. I think the person's use of that product or method and the steps he takes in the evaluation process mean the difference between success and failure.

I always interpreted the ranking of the horses at the bottom of each race to be the predicted order of finish. I could be wrong there. I don't know what other purpose that ranking would serve if that is not what they are doing.

I just went back and took another look at that BRIS PP Generator to refresh my memory. If the ranking at the bottom is not their predicted order of finish I'm not sure what it's intended purpose is. It's not odds oriented or sorted. It certainly is some type of ranking or it would be listed by Post Position.
