reality versus theory
As the lemmings rush toward junk, THEORETICAL thought, rather than test, evaluate and scrutinize real data (and these days WHY AM I STILL SURPRISED?) we find yet more evidence of the questionable efficacy of synthetic racing surfaces as a cure all for the BREEDING Community's continual neglect of the inbred weakness of the breed COVERED UP by medication rules and tolerances UNIQUE TO THE WORLD.
http://www.latimes.com/sports/printe...,3633432.story When, if ever, are these people going to forget the almighty dollar for five minutes and ACCEPT THE FACT it is the unsoundness of the horse, NO MATTER WHAT SURFACE they run over, that is the inherent problem and that NO BAND AID is going to work in the long run? These same individuals are going to deny reality as more young horses die prematurely and the world finally looks for soundness at another venue.
