October Contest Prizes

Here are the Contest Prizes for October.

1. $200 Cash
2. 1 month Unlimited RDSS Bundle Data (Charts+PPs)
3. $150 Cash
4. 1 year RDSS subscription extension

Thanks as always to Buffaloxp (Ray K) for his commitment to ongoing Contest funding, and to several of the previous Prize Winners for contributing a portion of their Prizes to this month's Fund!

If your Hit Rate in the October Contest is greater than 50% and your Bankroll is greater than $2000 and you complete the full 20 races, you win a 1 month RDSS Subscription extension.

The Sartin Messenger Prize is valued at $50 and is awarded to the person deemed to have been most diligent and expressive in explaining their handicapping analysis and wager decision process - for us all to learn by.

In addition this month - if 15 people complete their full 20 races, 2 extra prizes will be added to the prize list: 2 full year RDSS Subscriptions or extensions. For example, if you are new to RDSS and are learning by using the free 30 day evaluation, you may win your first year Subscription by finishing in the Top 6 Contestants, if the total number of players finishing the Contest is at least 15. So - come one, come all!

Lastly, but not least - Bill V is presenting a Special Prize this month, which I will let him describe in the next post.

Good luck and good skill to everyone!

Ted

Blue Star

Thats right Ted.

This month there is an extra prize
The Howard Sartin Blue Star Award

In October in honor of Doc's Birthday

There will be the Sartin Blue Star Prize

I , will present the winner with a mystery prize
Its not cash but its a gift for you or might be nice as re gift for the holidays
The way to win this prize is
have winners that pay over $9.00

Why $9.00 ?
Many years ago when Ted presented his RDSS program to Doc Sartin,

Doc asked that Ted, Richie P. and I send him screen shots of winning selection
we got using RDSS. He asked that we only send him winners that paid over $9.00 saying any program can get low price horses.
He wanted to see the readouts RDSS came up with for higher price horses,
So in October Anytime your Win or Place wager pays over $9.00

I will award you a Blue Star. This Blue Star will .appear on the daily score sheet updates next to each players user name ( see picture) The person at the end the month with the most blue stars will win the prize

Here is what the Sept contest final leader board would show with the Blue Star each selector was awarded .

Ted C would have won with 5 out of his 7 profitable winners that paid over $9.00
In second place with 4 stars each

This is just an additional prize added as my gift to the RDSS contestants
in honor of Howard Sartin's Birthday Month Celebration

Cool Cool

That's cool Bill as it and the one 20 cycle of races should help (at least me) to focus more on price instead of number of winners. This should lead to more cash in the pocket if you are betting your picks or at least it's very good practice. I will be trying to better my paceline selection and pass on races with low odds horses in my output.

Good luck to everyone and mucho thanks to Ted and Bill!

Ring of Honor

Thanks Bud

Also thank you and all the contestants who give the contest the respect it
deserves, The contest prizes are a bonus and a reward for skill and a little
luck, Yes luck plays a roll. Lets face it sometimes its not so much which races you post and win, its which race you decide to post that makkes your score a success.

Since the heart and foundation of the contest is to teach. Ted and I are
asking for quality and care

To be one of the 4 who have won the contest shows that you have
both skill and the ability to help others

You are in the RDSS "Learn To Win" Ring of Honor

Noddub62 - June
Bill V. - July
Barb Craven - August
Ted Craven - September
