Match-up Practice

Hi GUYs...

When I'm off and things are calm, I try to practice The Match-Up ..

I have realized that my home tracks of Belmont and Saratoga do not give me the results that I want. I am patiently waiting for the Inner Aqu meet because I think that it would work with a more consistent meet of sprint races.

In the mean time I looked at Finger Lakes today , I've seen a lot of sprint races and took at shot..I hit the first race , paid 4.30, no big deal then I went over a few more races till I saw the 5TH..

I was delighted when I watched the replay and my horse won..I dont know if I did it right , but you guys give me your thoughts on who you would go with..

mike

This is probably a pass race for me, but I still try to pick the winner in every race I look at--it's good practice. That being said, at a great price my pick would be hard to refuse.

If you lose you lose, but at 15 to one you only have to win two out of 16 to show a profit. Same thing at 8 to one. Win 2 out of 9 and you're ahead of the game.

Price compensates for doubt on many occasions.

thxs steve...i'm sure that your way of the horses position is correct but i was looking for a winning race compared to the projected 1st call. When I examined the early horses and then looked at the m/l favorite i opened the race for further handicapping

Hey, you make a valid point. Besides your way worked, and you got a decent price, so I can't knock it.

My guy is still looking for the finish line.
