there was no difference using RDSS and a competitive race for each contender

helping

Yes Mike

But I was asked to show the race for a non RDSS user
Its always good for me to go back and open up KGEN

without RDSS I would not be able to do this
since I export my lines from Ted's wonderful program

Bill,

Really great job of showing how you use the KGEN program,I especially liked how you used the notepad made it really easy to understand.

Also Ted making it possible to transfer the data to KGEN makes it a lot easier as well. Can you do the same thing if using Synergism?

Jeff

Jeff, I agree. Bill did a great job of explaining KGEN.
It seems as though the export feature works well with some of the Sartin programs.

I also would have an interest in RDSS if I could use it with SYN2, SYN3 or SYN4. I believe there are other Synergism users that might feel the same way.

If all that is needed in an export file for SYN 2-4 is running times, beaten lengths and positions (and horse/race identity), I can do it. If a Daily Track Variant is needed, I can do it, but I need to know what 'par' is (e.g. DTV par = 0 in TrackMaster/Equibase's system). If the export file also requires Speed Ratings (other than TrackMaster/Equibase or some kind of coherent SR system like the RDSS/Val/Spec Adjusted SR) or some kind of Speed Rating Pars, then I can't do it.

But now is the time to try it - I am doing various Export operations for the next RDSS Beta. Can someone send me SYN 2-4 export file samples to test?

Ted

Bill V's post was a real eye opener. I ran some races after the fact
and came up with this one on the very same day at WOX.
I looked at KGEN and then decided to use a contender selection method I developed using Handifast, a free program.
My initial contenders were 3,5,8,13,14.
I narrowed them down to 3,5,8,13 and ran them through Thoromation
My pacelines were as follows: 3 - (1), 5 - (2), 8 - (1), 13 - (3)
Here's how it came out.
There is no doubt in my mind that most of the Sartin programs do
come up with some very significant horses as was the case here.

Bill...If I were you..I'd stick with that for a while...

RDSS with your pacelines and some more contenders of mine...not the same
