Friday Night Race of the Week HOL623 race 8

I headed down the turnpike towards Philly
I made a sharp right and just kept going ...
Ended up at Hollywood park

I think this will be a interesting race
Big field, Looks like bottom level claimers
And a tricky distance of 7 furlongs

I hope we get many participants
its all good

Wild lines

1- line 5
6- line 8
7- line 5
8- line 9

The 1 is from pasteboard fast Tup. at 5/2 ml serious questions ???

the 6 off the line used wins EASY.But he seems to have changed his style to sustained and I think early / early press might take this. ???

the 7 is from GG . 1 win it shows at 7f was sitting 3rd behind speed duel. perfect trip ???

the 8 shows lines from Turfway with it's slow Polytrack. The line from outside there is a 1 turn mile Ap line which I used. 1c and 2c are about right for today as only him and the 1 will go for the lead 1c. He also shows 2 lines from 2 DIFFERENT tracks where he went for the lead, got passed and then tried to fight back a bit. More questions BUT this one is talking to me a bit man ???

projected pace:
1c- 22.3
2c- 45.2
ft - 124.1

what to do when everyone has questions and negatives? Go with my "gut" and that puts me on the # 8 Double Matrix. He sits no worse than 2nd in a normal to slow pace and takes it.

My Bets
$ 14.00 Win # 8
$ 3.00 exacta box 6-8

Total Bet = $ 20.00

good luck everyone
Rich

It's unlikely anyone will be able to run with #1 I've Decided. The horse has the running style, goods and par ability to win easily. I see him all alone at the second call and continuing that way to the finsih. In addition the trainer is good at the turf to dirt angle. The only knock is the odds. 5/2

The most likely up setter will be #11 Tronare. It's hard to get a real handle on his ability as we see only turf pacelines. However, he's a "Do or Die" horse. The horse is fast, classy and is dropping weight. At 10-1 he's my solid second choice.

For a $12 investment base:

$6 to win on #1 I've Decided
$4 to win on #11 Tronare

$1 exacta box #1 and #11

Track Profile Hollywood

Here is a track profile for 7 furlongs at Hollywood park from June 11 to present. Only 6 races, but this is not the most common distance.

Track Profile Calculations

I made up this worksheet so I could enter more races at once when making a track profile. These are the calculations and also this gives me a running average of %Med and %Early. I set up the worksheet just to print the first page not the calculation sheet here so it prints neatly on 1 page. It is easy enough to write the average %Med and %Early on the sheet you print out.
