Pace and Cap

The name implies pace software which many imply Doc'ware, I would suggest to open up the thing to all pace software for a richer and more diverse content. The thought of this post is really a after dinner thougt after reading todays pace post on PA. The post went on to knock pace handicapping in general although many took it as a assault on HTR software. I figure we would out number this guy 100 to one easy if you were to include the manual entree and other pace software that is used that still works great that is abundant and easy to find free. More over to where friends helping friends started here.
Anyway its just a new post coming from me so a grain of salt might be in order instead of the garlic.

Shoe,
Other methods are cool, but its really the people who employ them that make a interesting mix rather than doc said this 25 years ago or my 20 race cycle that. Dry is dead no matter how you say it, different opinions but yet a pace the thing in common.

It is against the current business plan, not that there is one that is viable. And not what the big guy wants as far as direction. Also its not like there has ever been great participation by the folks I referenced as the other pace folks, but I guarantee they do read stuff here.

Hello Steve

As I have told you many times in PM's
The site is a Sartin methodology discusion forum
I don't push people or block people from talking about
anything
You refer to "them" "those" and "some"
If these folks are reading here and going else where
thats there business

You threw out an idea - Posting about some other software
Now its up to you or anyone else to take it and start running
Please don't make me look like I'm against anything
I am NOT I have told you and I will mention it again to
all I don't care what anybody does or uses
I use the Sartin Methodology in its most basic form
That does not mean its the law. It means it works for me.
Also since its being used in such a basic starting point way
I feel that if I offer thoughts It might lead others to

1. Try and see if going back to basics might help
2. Show what I do and encourage those who are better
to become better _ I'm better than this guy !!! Yes you are !
3. Give people who also might not be too good
a way that will make them a winner

But thats me I post stuff. If it gets some readers attention I am happy
Anybody can talk about wahatever they want

So please don't make this an Issue with me or about me as the top guy
anyway all I really do here is pay the electric bill and keep the
rest rooms clean

I do not have a issue with anyone who posts, those who post are alive in my book. In another post someone said we were just a bunch of attaboys, to which I can say not true as many would agree. Sorry I cause some discomfort at times, at least I post. And to give you your due you continue to let me say whatever.

Does that mean you are still using Val 1?? I like them all but I still like Val 1. i have used V4 and hit some nice exactas and lost some. Go Figure.

Bob

PS: will forward an interestting article about horses communicating. and no don't think they read the odds boards, but often a good horse make the one in the next chute run beter

Val 1

Hello Bob P

Yes and No

No I don't use Val 1
I use RDSS in The validator 4 mode
I use it as I used PL4 Synthesis,and Val 1, 2, 3,
I use the best of the last 3 speed ratings to pick my
pacelines I use 1 race to represent what the horse will face in
todays match up
I hide to 5 contenders These are the to 5 total energy and
primary factors I focus on the top 3
ranked horses on Bottom line Betting line
I will consider a 4th or 5th rated horse if it is # 1 0r sometimes
#2 on the VDC readout
I have started to use the projected pace to pick lines

I wagercap these 3 or 4 horses. I bet one that will pay at or over
$7.00 and the second bet is the best overlay
I bet two horses or sometimes I will bet a BI
WP or WPS
