Continuing results problem

45 minutes after WO 2nd race I display results using entries screen. the problem is the results are from the second race at BEL.

I have gotten this problem twice, once it was the Kentucky Derby results showing up on another race at another track a few days after the Derby and once it was from a previous race at the same track from the same day. I have not been able to get it to repeat so that I can give Ted the situation to test, but I am glad it isn't just on my computer.

There is likely a memory area that is not getting cleared properly that the old data is residing in, but those kind of software issues can be a booger to track down.

Thanks Charlie. Obviously that should not happen! You had both BEL and WO open at the same time. RDSS is tracking which race comes next, and BEL came up with final results while you were looking at that Woodbine race, so it refreshed with the BEL results.

That should not happen - but it does in live circumstances like this. It's technically not a memory issue as Dan suggests, but merely the way RDSS (incorrectly, I agree) refreshes the screen when a new race on a card it is tracking becomes current.

I will drill down to make a fix to prevent this from happening. Part of the reason (though only a minor one) I added the horses names to the Results section was to alert the user in case there was any mismatch between Results and Entries - as in this case.

In any case, I believe the correct Results re-appear if you click the Results/Prices button, or switch away from the Entries screen to any other screen for that race, then switch back.

I don't really need more examples - I know what to look for to prevent the wrong Results to appear for a given Race.
