Incorrect Results in New Vesion (22.2025.05)
Results for 1/29/25 would not load in the right race today. i usually wait till the next day to input data for excell (to fix this problem) the program crashed many times and i only got 5 races done. I'm going to clear cashe to see if this fixes this.

I tried today (admittedly for the first time for this card of races) and every race showed correct results.
Please write me by email with examples if you continue to see otherwise. Especially after clearing the Cache, though you should not have to do that (and lose your paceline and contender choices). Ted

Getting really weird **** with the results
This is a screen shot from yesterday Look at the actual results https://www.equibase.com/static/char...5USA8-EQB.html The 8 won I am just playing one card per day and it is loopy as hell half the time Yes I do go from race to race as I have to manually request the results Yes I do go from race to race as I look at daily doubles and such It seems really obvious the pointers in RDSS are not pointing to the memory they should be. The race results pointer in this case seems to be indicating race 9, not race 8. I love the Sartin methodology I love that you picked up the reins and kept the software going I don't love how flaky the software has become If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know Please do not take pointing out bugs in the software as a personal attack The software needs fixing, you do not You are a great guy Ted and very honest btw, hit the pick 4 at Delta last night, quadrupled my money It was the last 4 races, including this one I want to help, not sure what I can realistically do in this situation though Dan |

Dan - thanks for the further examples of Results not displaying properly. This is a well publicized problem with this version. I will add those examples to my list, but I can replicate this every day. Still, thank you!
I am sorry that an update to the initial RDSS version working with the new TrackMaster store has not been published yet. I am working on it every day. I know what the problem is and will resolve it very soon. Thank you for your offer for assistance! My observation is - as stated elsewhere, I believe - when using the Bundle/Results data, although display of race by race results during the card may be flaky, when you retrieve results after the last race is Official (and restart RDSS) - all results for all races will display correctly. If your observation is different, we can discuss this by email. Further - despite display Results being flaky, the Results exported for modelling is correct. If you do not export data for keeping models, I suggest you simply do not retrieve Results in RDSS via the Results/Prices buttons on the Entries and various Analysis screens. Instead, simply access the public Equibase Results via the Full Result Chart button (as you have been doing). That way - there will be no incorrect Results displaying in RDSS. If you DO export data for models - that Result data should be correct. If Results show up automatically for your races, you can control this in the RDSS Config file to make them NOT show up unless you click the Results/Prices buttons. If you (or anyone) would like to know how to do this, just let me know and I will elaborate further. If you do not want to purchase further Bundle data packs until this Results Display issue is resolved, when your current Bundle pack runs out, you could simply renew it with a small quantity of PP Only uses until this bug is fixed. I do not take bug reports as a personal attack Sorry I have not been able to fix this issue quicker. It will get fixed as soon as I possibly can.I hope this helps! Ted

I did close RDSS in frustration. I tried again later that night, 4 hours after the last race, with same results. I tried again the next morning, same result. I had to delete the caches, delete the html results file, rework the races and then reload the results in order to get them to finally work and export. |

In fact, if you look at the 2nd pic, it was taken the next morning at 9 am.
I had deleted the cache at that time and reworked the races. It was not until I found the html results file and deleted that as well, that I was able to get correct results to display. Not sure after the hours of frustrating work, what the ideal process of jumping thru hoops to get the software to work is, but it would be nice if we did have a step by step process to go thru if things like this happen. Appreciate the work you are putting in to it. Hope we see results soon. |

I think I might have a workaround for people having difficulty with the results like I have been.
I handicap the races. I write on a sheet of paper which paceline I used for each horse in each race. At the end of the day, I delete the html result file and clear the cache. I log out. I reboot. I reopen RDSS, assemble the races, then go race by race selecting the pacelines I used during the day. I then save the results which usually come up correctly at this point, along with my handicapping to the excel export. So far, 2 days in a row, this has worked. Hope this helps someone else |
