Problems tend to arise when you can't get to the races that day and try to do them the following morning when there are races at the same track later that day

Also, if you try to do the races too soon after the last race finishes, there seems to be problems as well

I will try that Dan. I have never encountered problems working a card and getting accurate Results the day after. But it is on my formal final test protocol list, along with all live scenarios. I'll get you to test any candidate update, if you're open.

I maintain to this day, that RDSS 2 is the best, by far, of any of the programs in the Sartin methodology. In my mind this makes it the best handicapping software available to the public.

I would be glad to help.

not sure if this related, but i still occasionally notice in task manage that rdss is running after the program is closed, i see the knowledge management process and when i catch it, i end it.

I get so frustrated with the results being screwed up after paying for the results - but relief might be in sight

If this works, perhaps RDSS could put in a subroutine to do it after the final race.

The file "mutuels".dat seems to be the culprit

When I delete that and then open RDSS, it fixes the bad results problem

Maybe Ted can weigh in and verify if this should or should not for everyone

Dan, I will check it this week. I think I have a good solution but will corroborate that the persistence of that outdated MUTUELS.DAT file contents from earlier races is what prevents subsequent results from being properly collected during the day. I took a different base approach but I see how what I initially did would result in what you're seeing.


Will report back and hopefully deploy something for testing soon.
