Ted
In speculator, one can just change the distance to 10 furlongs. Works well.

I will add that 'change distance' feature to RDSS. (Software still should not crash...)

Ted,
I don't know if anyone is having this issue but under WinXP Pro SP2 after I analyze a race when I click to analyze another race, RDSS unloads itself and I have to restart it again. It saves the race that I have analyzed so no issue with that. On my laptop where I run Vista since it came with it (ouch!) it works fine. I think this may be a memory allocation issue by RDSS but not sure. I have 1GB DDRAM on my WinXP Pro machine and have no issues whatsoever with other programs. The machine runs usually with 500MB of free ram before RDSS is loaded up and looking at the windows manager I see that RDSS takes about 135KB of RAM to run..Maybe more information than you need but hopefully it will be helpful..I was never able to analyze 2 races sequentially without RDSS not quitting on me after the first race analyzed. Thanks for the great work on RDSS!

Re race description on the Card Summary screen, Sex Restrictions are incorrect: noted and thanks! The actual textual Conditions on the race screen is correct.

Fixed for the next version.

error report

ted

this screen shot happens on both systems xp & vista, both with 1.5gb ram, when switching back and forth between races on the same card.

It happens when i'm connected to bris wagering, or just doing races inrdss.

I don'y lose any data, you just haveto keep restarting the program

Tom, yep, that's a good example of Bug #1 (see the bug list), the part about switching between races on the same card. Again, sorry, you should close the card, then open to the new race. This is nearly fixed, but I'll release another update with smaller stuff first, (in the next day or so). Then that one. Please bear with...

(BTW, hope you had a piece of that race, nice $20 mutuel)

Thanks,

Ted

Projected and extracted raw times

Ted:
1. For comparison purposes on the "Analysis-Original" screen is it possible to show the data for horses that will need to be either extracted or projected. Perhaps a split screen below the raw data that shows the extracted and/or projected time at today's distance?

2. I suppose one could even go further and adjust each raw data line for distance (much like the 'pacelines' upper screen in spec 160, but without any other adjustments). In keeping with Matchup guidelines the adjustments would be at 6-2/5ths per half furlong. This conceptually might add a screen between the "raw" and "adjusted" panels, but it would close the visual gap for those MATCHING the raw pacelines.

Bill, I replied in the RDSS Questions a & Answers Forum here since this is more of a 'feature suggestion' than a bug.

New edition comments:
note that first time starters show no works and that the screen that appears is not formatted the same as for workouts included for other runners.
