Froggy
it was the first non maiden race on the poly on the card. kind of a theme I do when not posting a stakes race or something like a spot play. I was tied up all day here and did NOT bet the race. If I did I probably take a win bet on the 4 and lose in a 3 horse blanket finish to be honest. I also had 2 more races I wanted to post up but got tied up. Was hoping folks could see this poly stuff is NOTHING to be afraid of (not trying to be wise). Just a willingness to CHANGE focus to different things and an absloute NEED to keep records and watch what the track is giving us. Richie

Richie,
I agree that the poly is nothing to be afraid of, and like it or not, it is the future of racing as it helps to prevent injuries, keeping the fields larger, and the horsemen make more money. I think that the Jockeys and trainers are the ones that are cautious of how to place their mounts in the race, hence the slow first fractions. This I believe will change with time and experience. I believe the horses are running against each other not against the track and this is what I think will be proven in the long run. I look forward to reading your posts and gleening some of your knowledge. Froggy |
