on-line wagering

Howdy y'all. Probably an old question , but for the west coast ,
which on-line wagering service, in your experience , is decent to use? Or if
most of you are east coasters , what service have you heard people this way
recommend? There's gotta be one or two that just keep getting gold stars.

Everyone has there preferences and reasons to like one or hate the other,
but any feedback is appreciated to make a reasonable decision ,Thanks.

I just closed my YouBet account. The reasons are the current lawsuits, poor video quality, no rebates and a less than stellar interface. It's just so slow to operate that it becomes maddening. But that could be my problem.

I'm going to try Premier Turf Club and Brisbet. But I'm basically in the same boat.

I heard E-Horse is OK. I believe they're offshore bookies, but you get rebates. If your volume is high you can do much better.

Others might have some good ideas.

I should note that opening an account with any illegal entity at this point in time might not be a very good idea. This is one reason I closed my YouBet account. It's not that YouBet is illegal, but you can never be too careful. Neteller wasn't suppossed to be vulnerable either--and I got my money out of there just in the nick of time. A friend of mine only got his money back recently--he had to wait a very long time.

Waiting to see how current events shake out might be the more prudent course.

Another thing that always annoyed me about YouBet was the $10.95 monthly fee. It doesn't seem like much, and it's really not, but with the poor video quality I felt like I was paying for nothing. My account was idle for three months and I was still charged the fee. When I inquired about this they said they would refund the money for the months in question, but they never did--asked again--nothing. I asked yet one more time when I closed my account, and they just hemmed and hawed. Plus, when I opened my account I didn't get any kind of a bonus. They don't give out rebates. Their rewards program--well I could never figure out exactly what that was.

I think with BrisBet you get free PPs and video, and if I'm not mistaken BrisBet has the same tracks as YouBet. I'm not 100% sure about that. Does BrisBet charge a monthly fee? I'm don't think Premier does.

I've got Connecticut OTB, eHorse, VIP and Bodog.

I use them all, but I'm not wild about any of them.

eHorse generated thousands of dollars in rebates for me. However, I sat with money in Neteller for a long time and couldn't get it out. Who knows? That could happen with eHorse. I don't feel safe having more than a grand in there, tops. And to begin scoring any significant money with rebates you need to bet at least $2500 a day; that way you can break even on your bets and still make a nominal return.

Pinnacle was unquestionably the best. Alas, that's over for U.S. players unless you take an illegal back door route which I don't recommend.

I'd also shy away from eHorse in terms of establishing a new account. Besides the legality issue, your funds could go *poof* overnight.

I'm interested in feedback regarding the Premier Turf Club. Have some people been using it enough to have a handle on it? How do you like it?

Unless I'm mistaken the major players at this stage of the game are TrackNet, TVG, BrisBet, YouBet, AmericaTab and
Magna.

I just found this link, and it appears that Churchill and Magna merged to form TrackNet.

I have trouble keeping track off all the players. Here are some more links that are old but explain some things. It looks like Churchill also acquired AmericaTab

Link 2

And here is the latest installment. Still another fly in the ointment.

TrackNet to manage Oaklawn Park simulcast signal

TrackNet Media Group will manage the simulcast sales of Oaklawn Park's live racing signal, it was announced Monday. TrackNet will also manage the purchase of third-party racing content that Oaklawn Park offers as part of its simulcast program at the track. The agreement takes effect immediately.

"Oaklawn Park offers some of the most popular and competitive winter racing in the United States, with a fantastic stakes program that includes key Triple Crown prep races," TrackNet CEO Scott Daruty said. "Oaklawn Park's racing program is a favorite among horsemen and horseplayers, and we are excited to add Oaklawn races to TrackNet's content line-up."

Oaklawn Park General Manager Eric Jackson said TrackNet's commitment to seek fair compensation for the horsemen and racetracks that create horse racing content was one of the key reasons to utilize TrackNet as a simulcast sales and purchasing agent.

"Oaklawn Park chose to work with TrackNet because we know how much the growth of simulcasting and account wagering has changed the economics of the horse racing industry," Jackson said. "We share TrackNet's view that horse racing content should be distributed on a broad, non-exclusive basis to responsible, regulated wagering outlets that comply with wagering integrity and compliance standards. We believe that TrackNet is working to achieve this goal in a way that will benefit the entities that invest their time, talents and financial resources to 'put on the show.' We look forward to working with TrackNet management as we prepare for Oaklawn Park's 2008 live racing season."

With the addition of Oaklawn Park, TrackNet now manages the simulcast sales and purchasing for 20 North American racetracks, including Arlington Park, Calder Race Course, Churchill Downs, Fair Grounds, Golden Gate Fields, Gulfstream Park, Pimlico Race Course, Santa Anita Park and other popular racing venues.

I started with a Tsn account and added the Bris account because of the free PPs. No fees for either account.

Is that true? Free pp's? There's got to be a limit, right?
