Agreed! Presuming you meant that as a retort, rather than a question - I think many people in many countries (at least Canada and the US that I am more familiar with) suspect that governement-provided retirement income is inherently both paltry if not also unreliable. Better to supplement that (by relying on what is in your own hands or mind) by developing a method of high probablilty income, here, from one horse picks according to the rules Froggy has been developing. Seems to be working out well for him (at least this particular focused method).

I know I'd rather be eating caviar than catfood in a couple of decades when it's my turn

Simple rules.
Only bet one horse.
Must have a race within the last 21 days or a work out within 9 days.
The horses saddle cloth number must be colored red, green or yellow,
preferably red.
Bottom Line number must be at least 23.5
No more than 5 horses in the program.
Forget about First Time Starters in maiden races because these horses seem to have the edge.

Since Belmont opened there have been eleven investments.
All of them won.
Today,s was real good.

1 May. Race #2 $4.00
4 May. Race #4 $5.30
7 May. Race #1 $4.00
........... Race #2 $4.50
........... Race #3 $5.70
9 May. Race #1 $4.20
........... Race #2 $4.60
........... Race #3 $4.40
........... Race #4 $3.60
........... Race #7 $4.50
16 May. Race #4 $15.00

I expect some losses soon because as I remember I lost several before I set down some rules.

Hey Froggy.

What is the signifigance of the saddle cloth ?? I am assuming you are dealing with horses assigned a specific post position. Have you looked at this after scratches since horses will slide over. For instance if the 1 scratches in a race the 2 would assume the # 1 Post. This might give you more opportunites.

Jim,

Froggy will correct me if I am wrong, but I've understood his reference to 'saddle-cloth' to mean the colourized program numbers in the BL/BL (and other) screens which represent the Top 3 Class Rating horses, according to the old Sartin CR formula (part APV, part consistency). Red/green/yellow representing CR #1, #2, #3.
