Welcome surehotlink!

I think you're going to enjoy yourself here. On the macro level, horse-racing faces its challenges, but on the micro level so do we all, as well. Doc Sartin has left us with the proposition that by application of superior analysis and wagering methods, together with an introspective view of our own behaviours and desires, we may achieve either or both good profits betting horses AND a certain amount of self-mastery and a very enjoyable hobby.

We even get to share our enthusiasm and love of this sport/investment with our friends and family (usually in direct measure with how much we enjoy it/ benefit from it ourselves!) And that, in a nutshell, is the future of horse-racing.

Welcome back to the new millennium of Doc, Jim 'The Hat' and others' work - it's all still going on, better than ever and with new challenges given the new realities of horse-racing.

Looking forward to your comments here, and successes.

All the best,

Ted

P.S. You may have heard that Val4 works better than the Val3 you are using (whether is the older DOS format program or the newer RDSS software). Check it out as you re-familiarize yourself with things!

Sure,

Val4 info here: http://www.sartinmethodology.com//how_to_obtain_val4/

Just be sure you understand about RDSS versus Val4 by taking some time to review the RDSS info. They're the same program, same numbers. Val4 is an older DOS program (an update of the old Val3c), where RDSS is a rewrite for Windows based on the old Validator and Speculator code, and reviewed by Doc.

If you're comfortable with the older DOS format and want a smooth transition back into action, Val4 is great but it is unsupported by anyone except those who may be able to answer questions posted online here. RDSS on the other hand, has a definite future, I am committed to its support, and it will evolve as time goes on (see the RDSS 2.0 sub-forum).

Naturally I am biased re RDSS but I didn't want you to say you didn't know about the similarities and differences after having possibly paid money for Val4.

Any questions, just make a post in the appropriate forum, or drop me an email if you prefer.

Cheers,

Ted
