Maybe this is how you would separate and get the winner. Going back to line 7 on Benny is not out of the question. Last race was a come back race so he probably needed the race. So you can go back to a good race on this race track and get the winner in your top 2.

does not make much sense to me. I guess you can make a case for any horse but in this case and for me, it would not be a prudent move. The only thing that this would tell me is that there was something very wrong with this horse. His first time back was not much of clue or indicator that this horse was fit and ready to win. Being entered in low maiden claimer after such a protracted layoff tells me that they got this horse ready to win for the purpose of recouping some of their expenses with the purse and betting money with the hopes that someone would claim it possibly in his next outing. I would doubt that this horse will ever be a factor in it's future races.
This trainer should be looked at for future betting ploys. He kept this one well hidden.

I don't use New Pace, I don't use RDSS and I don't play DelMar, so none of these have any bearing on what follows.

You ARE kidding, right? lol

This horse shows a series of decent races... THREE YEARS AGO.

It shows a layoff of OVER TWO YEARS... after the last of that series of decent races. The horse was OBVIOUSLY injured. No horse stays off the track for two years unless it is injured.

After that TWO YEAR LAYOFF, it comes back and runs 4 dismal races.

Then it is off another 8 and a half months and comes back to run another dismal race.

Now you want to go back to the horses "lifetime BEST" race from "1097" days ago, use THAT line and say the horse is going to run back to THAT LINE today?

Is a crystal ball involved in this decision?

Like I asked at the outset, you ARE kidding, right?

New Pace had that horse in the top 4. You asked how some one would pick that horse to bet on. I showed you a way to do that using RDSS. So it makes no sense to you to go back that far and get a race to use, thats fine. You still could of bet all 4 at odds of 5/1, 7/1, 12/1, and 40/1 to make a nice profit. This was a 20,000 maiden race, with no horse looking like a stand out. Not all people are spot players like you. Some people will bet on longshots and win on this race and others like it. You don't have to make sense of it because, you would never handicap like this. Good luck on your 4/5's.

WOW! That's good. I thought you were serious. I'd hate to think there are actually people out there that would choose to use that line for that horse. I know a rational person would never use that line. I'm really relieved. Thanks a lot. And, oh by the way, GOOD LUCK!

Here is a screen shot of a rational man using the last line from each horse of the 4 contenders that New Pace selected.
