Parx race 8 8/25

Miulitble E Match Up

This is my look at the 8th race today at Parx
I was working races live in the selections area. I decided to pass
this race. I felt the 2 horse with it EP and 3 QSP fit the conditions and the pace match up. I also felt it was not offering value.
The 7 horse in my mind was a form question mark, because of its poor last line.

Here is my look and also thoughts about a proposed teaching video

some corrections

I made two mistakes in my notes

Horse 7's lone recent win was at 5 furlongs not 6

Thanks
Bill

Here are the results

I disagree with Jim's view that if there are more than 1 E horse in the race
All the E horses will use too much energy. One of them will always because only 1 horse can have the lead at any point of the race
A horse race is determined by which horse happens to be in the lead at the finish line there is no law that says all E horses get passed !

Here is the result chart

The 2 di just what it's running style said It pressed the 3 but did not
have the energy today to pass the E horse
The 7 regained its form of line 2 or 3 and won the race

I don't have RDSS but if I look at this correctly, wasn't the 7 claimed from its last race? Horse does seem to prefer to run outside and last race came from the 1 hole, which it may not have cared for or at least make it more difficult to make its wide run.

If I am correct about being claimed, was there any workouts since the claim or anything to indicate it moved to a better barn?

Hello Don't say don't

Yes Phil Dancer # 7 was claimed in its last race 19 days ago.
I have opened the work out tap. and there are no workouts since the claim.

I have also opened the Early / Late graph TPR tab.
Line 1 (its last race) shows Phil Dancer as running its second lowest LPR
This pace line to me does not predict a late closing ability.

Yet line 2 and 3 which are + plus pace lines.
Both line 2 and 3 show Phil Dancer with its highest LPR ratings

With no excuse for its latest line, then I guess it is just one of those wins that "happen". Thanks for looking up the w/o line.
