Woodbine Race 9 tomorrow (May 10) is designated the 'Happy 80th Birthday Barb Craven' race at Woodbine and will feature Barb, me and other of our family and friends (possibly including some P&C members) in the Winner's Circle presenting an award to the winning connections! Plus the Jumbotron, name in the Program - the full catastrophe (couldn't book the Royal Carriage)!

Set your video recorders to 'ON' and let's see if that race is playable (Allowance $75K 4YO+, 5 betting interests).

Thanks to you Lawrence, Ignacio and Turfcraft and Pat, my very special friend. I wish you all could be with me today. Lawrence, you I will see. It will be a pleasure to finally meet you. If you can watch the race as Ted says above, we will wave at you.
This surprise Ted has planned is not entirely a surprise to me. He did this same thing for my 75th birthday and has been saying all this year that this is a very special milestone. I marvel at his thoughtfulness and generosity. No mother could be as proud as I am, not only for this, but for everything he does. Ted, I love you very much.

Here's the race. It was scratched down to 4 horses. You can see us right at the end., but don't blink or you'll miss it. We're the ones holding the blanket, Ted on one end and me on the other. The rest of the group are standing in between us.
It was fun to meet Lawrence (dlivery) and see Mike and his lovely wife Eleanor again. My daughter Deb had never been down there before, and by some mysterious way of her own using signs and portents, ended up the biggest winner of the day.
I did manage to get the winner of our race, but she and I were the only ones who bet on him, and it was just because of the race. At 8/5 I was only up 1.50. Fun was had by all. More pictures to come when I get them off the camera.
