Saratoga

For anyone who hasn't checked out the updated nyra.com site you can now join without being a full member for betting etc and get full live pictures in HD.

Presumably this will be extended to Belmont & Aqueduct too.

I did, however, have to sit through Andy Serling's analysis with Gabby Gaudet. The way he talked to her was nothing short of a disgrace.
Very poor behaviour indeed.

Probably best to tune in ready for the first race!

Andy does that all the time. He did it when Maggie Wolfendale replaced Jan Rushton. She was shy at the start then started coming back at him. Gabby has already gone back at him. He thinks he knows everything about everything. Tom Amoss has already put him in his during the pre race prattle. In fact he won a diner bet with Andy which was beautiful to see. The new NYRA platform is here to stay.

Nice one Tim,
I can't wait for the start of AQU inner!

Probably a good job I'm not a co-presenter with Andy S. I fear I couldn't control my responses.

I have been a free member there for some time, and their video is some of the best on the web. They also have some of the best paddock coverage. It does include Belmont and Aqueduct. The only "cost" is an occasional e-mail from them about up-coming stakes races or whatever.

For those not familiar with it, the same thing is available from calracing.com for the California tracks.

Spoke with some people in the know Wednesday at the Spa. DARK days ahead from the "appointed" NYRA higher ups who want casino gambling to replace over a hundred years of tradition. Sad.

Durkin's tour was fabulous as he came and went on a small Vespa motorcycle or a clone of the same.

MikeB, I did sign up with them previously (Cali), but as a UK customer they wouldn't let me access the live stream. Perhaps they've relaxed the rules since.

Tim Y, hopefully that doesn't happen, but sadly tradition counts for nothing these days against the backdrop of $$$.
Like a lot of the old greyhound tracks over here, most of them have been replaced by houses.

I have had encounters with The LITTLE GUY, his handle at Paceadvantage, and your assessment of him is dead on.

I will be at Saratoga on Wendsday and Thrusday 10th and 11th, and was wondering if any members will be there?
