Using Decerlation for profits.

You should check out my two threads on Deceleration to enhance your winning at this tough game. It'll give you a foundation of understanding this huge factor to bring you greater profits at this tough game.

Last I checked (several (months back) one had well over 100,000 views, an indication of its importance and also lack of understanding this very important factor. Sartin always preached understanding concept over rules based and Factors themselves to bring about more winners. With this also if your smart it can open up insights that you won't find anywhere. I consider that proprietary for my many hours and years of hard work. That's with the through one

There are two threads on Deceleration , one deals with only deceleration for DCL which is only one Factor and the other deals with several Factors , the 3 FPS Fraction's etc. and the other is very much more through dealing with multiple Factors.
Additionally, look up my threat From the TOP / Beginners thread etc. which is really for everyone seeking improvement and more profits.

Mitch,

This may be one of your referred suggestions, False Early horses, %Med Tool Etc.; and I assume the other one is Concept of deceleration.
Are those the right ones? Any others you would referred from your threads on this topic? Thanks.

Yes Jake there are other post and threads, and False Early Horses is another value insight from my many years of experience that I've passed onto members here at the site. Also many other threads I started.
And many other great posts such as Picking the correct contenders, correct Pace Lines selection just to name a few however I didn't start those threads and they are spread out through all my posts. If one were to read all my posts and applied them then you could understand why I'm such a big and very consistent winner.
Of course there's a caveat to being a consistent winner and many have trouble with this one. And that is discipline and money management. I have made winners out of some here and they self-destruct by resorting to old habits of lack of discipline and and money management, also by insisting on being a one horse Betterr doing the Match Up, bound and determined to match Jim Bradshaw one horse better. Jimmy was a genius and had a genius IQ. They are not Jimmy and never will be able to Match his ability or record. These two I can
not teach, its an individual thing. Many just can not break old habits.

Jake I hope you understand this post and its your key to becoming a winner.

I see deceleration as the flip side of early speed. A horse can post a big EPR but if its deceleration is high its vulnerable when pressured. Low deceleration horses are often reliable finishers.

High deceleration a horse used up its energy early and tired late.

Low deceleration a horse distributed its energy more evenly and finished stronger.

I personally never use deceleration as a stand alone. I always include v/dc, total energy and %med.

I will say that Mitch is more of an expert on this than i am. I know that his past postings have helped me tremendously.

Mitch and LT1 are subject matter experts in this area.

I actually understand your posts quite well. Especially some of the more argumentative ones. I just didn't want to miss any threads I might have overlooked.
I'm not looking for instruction here, I agree with most of what you have posted over the years, and have tested it extensively. Most appreciatively, I might add.
Hope you're getting healthy again! Thanks.

Your absolutely correct in every thing you say in your post and very smart to take advantage of V/DC etc. however if your do your own Deceleration it will open the door for you with insights that are not included in V/DC. I called this proprietary for my years of study and many hours of research. It opens windows to stuff that is just not included in V/DC.

I hope this helps you and your already employing Deceleration more then most. Best on your future endeavors on this.

Jake I appreciate those that do the work as most want everything for nothing, not only that but demand it. And I can tell if the work was done. then when exposed and I put the work back on them , their gone.

If I can ever help you in any way let me know by sending me an P M. I don't I check in here for weeks at a time as I have 4 full time jobs and hard to keep pace with it all or keep my head above water, however I'll answer your P M and will get around to it eventually. Bare w/ me on that.

In advanced, thanks,

Jake; I an tell you have done some work on this and admire that. Most I run into want everything for free, not only that they demand it. Lt1 also has run into that problem. When I give them the work to do, well their gone.

I'm not helping anyone who won't put in the work. They just don't know nor appreciate all the hours and years I've put in to be a very consistent winner and no way in hell I'm giving that away for nothing. And its not like I'm selling it which I could. I even collected the data to publish another book on all this but its not a priority for me as I'm using similar knowledge for investing in the stock market and I'm killing it beyond believe and can prove that.

Anyway I digress and have a great appreciation for those that do the work, and I tell if they have or not. So P M me and I'll answer it eventually . I don't check in here for weeks at a time as I have 4 fulltime jobs, with the stock market dialyses 3 days a week, running the household as my wife has Parkinson's disease and being the Commander of the Military Order of the Purple Heart. The site just isn't on my priority list any more, I'll be stepping down as Commander in March so that will help big time.

Anyway P M me and I'll promise you I'll answer your P M or give you my phone number. Sorry for the redundant post but it timed out on me and I couldn't erase it.

In meantime maintain and best of luck on your handicapping,

Mitch44

Mitch.
I will PM you after next week, that's a promise. I really appreciate Tim's great motto, Trust but Verify, which is why he's a good handicapper. My abiding rule, over 40+ years, is to always test before using anything new in my handicapping method; and that testing is deep testing, always against a series of large databases. So, I never have to guess if something may work or not work, I just verify with data where and when it does works. Thanks, agreed with you, Tim. And, thanks for the rigor, Mitch, in all your threads

Hi Mitch. Great to see that you feel well enough to post this thread. Folks allow me to share a little background info with you. Mitch and I first met in 1990 at Sar seminar and have been friends since then. Several yrs later we met Dick Mathie and became a trio. Any way all of us were working and had limited time to work with the method. None of us could find our butts with both hands. After we retired we finally got rolling. We were fortunate enough to have big time help from Doc & several others teaching members. Richie worked with Doc, Mitch with the Hat, and I with Bert Mayne & Glen Connelly. All of them demanded that we do the work they assigned or they would have dropped us. Fortunately we complied and started our journey to becoming winners. Mitch would tinker on his own and come with factors he thought would help even more. He would call me and have me run tests on his ideas and I would reach the same conclusions. We did so many test that a one point I jokingly asked how many more test were we going to do. Anyway we kept at it and finally arrived at where we are today. Before Mitch encounter the problems he outlined above he posted many outstanding threads, I strongly suggest that those struggling finds these threads and read then He also did a very good beginners thread which all members should read. The reason I say this because sometimes in the back of our minds is something we found useful at the time but have forgotten which might be triggered when you read that thread. Any way I hope my good buddy will continue to improve health wise and maybe able to resume sharing his knowledge on a more frequent basis since we all can use advice from a proven winner.
Tim
