Trackmaster SR Ranges
For folks using the TM download, does anyone use SR ranges to eliminate contenders or is it dangerous to do so? Once pacelines have been selected, let's say you've got 6 horses left after eliminations based on TE top 5 and ties and/or Primary Line Score rankings. The SR's or the remaining entries are 90,89,89,87,83,82.
Would you feel comfortable in further eliminating the 83 and 82 and getting the BL/BL now down to 4, or in folk's experience, does it come back to haunt you? |

In this example, before eliminating the 82, I'd check the E/L graph to see if it's energy disbursement style favoured today's track and distance (e.g. wild early on a track which favoured it), of if it was the Lone E or Lone L for counter-energy (Place).
If you've got top 5 Total Energy and ties, I think the work of the SR's is done (e.g. as a paceline selector if you use Val). Total Energy is a much more nuanced rating of total ability than SR, as TE is a composite of the 3 race fractions, where SR is only a measure of final time. Ted
