Pace & Cap Web Meeting

Hi Folks,

I'm in the Pace & Cap Web Meeting Room (just made that term up!), actually a GoToMeeting web conference at the following link:

https://www.gotomeeting.com/join/283209080
Conference Call: Dial (605) 772-3715, access code 283-209-080
Meeting ID: 283-209-080

I'll be working on KEE and OSA for a few hours, as those are the tracks for the NHCQualify tournament today. If anyone feels like joining, come on down. If you feel like jumping on the telephone conference call, just say so in the Chat box and we can hook up with voice as well.

I'll be using RDSS myself, but I've got Val and Spec lurking here somewhere too. It's all good.

Ted

Hey everyone, thanks for dropping by. We had 3 folks in the phone booth and 4 or 5 in the GoToMeeting conference, chippin on the Chat dialog. We did a few KEE races, some OSA races and Admin (Bill) did a few PHA races (and won a good one - the 4th). We each took turns showing how we work things on our respective computers. Neat technology, expecially accompanied by voice over the phone.

Let's do it again sometime. (I might be off for the rest of the weekend - Canadian Thanksgiving). But maybe an evening next week.

Today, I am thankful for family, friends, health and inspiration in my chosen avocation & profession.

Ted

Thanks for hosting the meeting, Ted. It was fun, and I learned some things.

I enjoyed it too. I just wish I could have stayed longer. Turbulator and Ted can really work the software. Ted, I hope you did well auditing the NTRA contest today.

I can't stress enough that anyone working with RDSS will get a lot out of attending Ted's online seminars. Very well done.

Jim,

Thanks for the kind words! I'm summarizing my experience today in the NHCQualify event (next post). Missed entering, and anyway, did not feel mentally prepared after a tough week. Shows how self-aware I can (not) be: had a good day. I swear I wrote these selections down before the off (just ask my cat - but I know it doesn't count).

Jim, despite your cautions about FPX, I used a few lines to good advantage.
Bill, thanks for the tip in OSA #2
Steve, you can sure work the Match Up (more intuitively than me!) Please keep it up. I'll fix those Projected Pace bugs ASAP.

Ted

My hat's off to you and your software if you are able to take pace lines run on a bullring and properly use them on a conventional track and vice versa. I have never had success in that regard. I am glad it worked out well for you.

Here's my results in the NHC Qualify today. I don't know yet how this effort would have rated me, but I'm pretty pleased. So far, from the Winter P&C FG contest here, to the P&C Summer Stakes contest, to previous NHC Qualifiers, to the last BRIS event, I have done better each time, so that's heading in the right direction. As Doc mentioned recently (borrowing as usual from someone else), 80% of this game is half mental.

My choices were from the Top 3 BL/BL (often Top 2), with an eye on other readouts. Being a 1 horse selection contest (and anathema to my typical 2 horse selection style), I chose a single horse often based on which was the longer ML odds. Who cares if I win a race and get paid $4.00.

Sorry for prattling on - I realize this is a kind of (public) self-talk diary. I needed a day like today after an often depressing week. I managed to get a few bets down, missed a few others. Thanks to KEE #9, I made a little money on the day.

If I ever make it to the big event, I'm printing up RDSS T-Shirts

1st place had $126.00 Had you input your picks you would have been first. That's a nice place to be.
