Val4 Emulation
Hello Ted,
I see that the RDSS configuration section allows VAL4 emulation. Does this mean that RDSS can be run in VAL4 mode, the same software as VAL4 ? Ernie |

Ernie,
In Val4 emulation mode, RDSS produces the same numbers as Val4. It doesn't run the Val4 DOS software app - it's RDSS, but the adjustment formulas, sprint-route projections and some readouts reflect Val4 formulas, rather than the Spec160 formulas which has come to be the Default Mode. In one of the RDSS Release Notes documents (2007 date?) the specific differences between Val4 mode and Spec160 (Default) mode are listed. Ted
