anti internet gambling bill
Congressman from Virginia is about to submit a bill before the House of Reps to outlaw all online gambling. He submitted a bill in the year 2000 but it was defeated as many lobbyists set out to defeat it. If it gets to go to a vote we need to contact our congressman and have our say about it.

It amazes me.. With all the problems in the country they focus on this. They are probably being pushed by the casinos and racing industry. The Racing Industry is laughable always whining about diminishing interest yet they continue to operate like it is 1965 and they are the only game in town. They need to embrace the Internet and offer rebates just like the casinos. If they want fanny's at the track they need slots and other perks like FREE daily handicapping contests for those in attendance at the track.

anti internet gambling bill
Just saw on the yahoo web page in the news items that the bill is on the floor and looks like they are rushing to get this passed. This will be a travesty if it passes and looks like it has a good chance. They said back in 2000 when they tried to get a similar bill passed the guy who is being indited Abramoff was a big lobbyist against this bill but he is gone and no one has the clout and bucks to keep it from going through like he did. Just dont know I am going to fire an email off to my congressman to say dont do this thing.
