Match Up

I want to thank Bill for putting up this area even though I might be talking to myself.I was listening to a Sartin Seminar tape back from the Pirco days and learned something new.The Match Up was intended to cover each fraction of the race not just one call.I always thought it was just covering the 2nd call and whoever couldnt run against that would not be a contender. But then on this tape Doc said Bradshaw was about to stop teaching it because he didnt intend it to be used this way. Also he was upset because clients were not using the 1st & 3rd fraction as well.I dont know the year of this tape but I know it was around when KGEN was developed but I also noticed a division of the group happening.Doc and Bradshaw took the energy people to one room and Brohammer took the velocity people to another.I guess Ramon was right you can teach an old dog like me new tricks.Shoeless

Route "match up"

Jeff,
back in the early 90's the couple of times I had the chance to talk with "Hat" on the phone he told me when working a route race to do TWO match ups.

One for "early". the 2nd one "sp" or sustained. He told me to bet the winner of the early and winner of the late as my 2 win bets.

fwiw on page 16 of the match up manual he describes this process as best he can

Back in the day Jeff both Doc and the Hat were unreal "pickers". I am talking early 90's.In 2 phone calls to Doc he gave me 4 horses that were running that day or the following day. 2 of them won another placed.

ok
Richie
