Wonder if you did New Pace with the TPR numbers from RDSS how it would work out.

Maybe one day we'll find out. I consider them reasonably similar to Total Energy (though less accurate) and you can see our initial tests of using Total Energy as a source of NP ratings (just a bit worse than Adjusted SR). For now, I think we have enough ratings to work with.

The interesting part will come in the next while from studies to improve NewPace by factoring in normal Matchup stuff and identifying the worst NP contender for finishing in Win/Place position - making it easier to go with 3 horses. Also, eliminating horses on recency and those at the wrong end of their form cycle.

Ted, this next study is in my opinion is "critical" and if done correctly will bring RDSS to it best ever level and make it the most formidable tool on the market.
The basic Bradshaw match up concepts (1st & 3rd Fractions for dirt sprints and routes) using the top 4 contenders should do the trick. Always weight the 3rd fraction for Turf more so on then you would for dirt. I believe this fraction is considerably more important for turf then the first fraction, possibly 1.5 to 2 times more. This could be monitored by trial and error.
Ted, I believe you're on the right track. I am sure you will achieve major success in the near future.
