Match Up Analysis
I can fly through races on cards using the colors to help me lock in on spot play races QUICKLY. Less than 5 minutes to scan a complete card of races.
To me now after months of doing the same thing the earlies stand out in my head while the deep sustained do the same in a negative way. This is what I need. Others do things different as it should be. This is what I do Richie __________________ Richie,I thought it would be better not to clutter up Ted's section with this. The only trouble is we are cappin horses not colors, you could miss quite a few things doing it that way.If you look on page 27 of the original Match Up book[i know im in the minority but I think it's better then the 2nd one]Hat gives a great way to anaylize the horses. 1)Look at the horses past performance lines.Identify the normal first fraction time,at a distance comparable to today's distance.WRITE THIS time by the name of each horse.Place a mark next to the time where the horse does his best 2)Follow the procedure for the second call For me this is the way to do it,I would be interested to see how others go about trying to analyze the pace of today's raceShoeless Last edited by RichieP; 12-29-2007 at 10:54 AM. pace
Hi Jeff
I'm sorry i have been not as active but I'm having some work related set backs and I want to try to do some more research and work my way back into form What I do is what I have been reading about in the hat check area I set the running styles Then pick power lines That is the line were the horse ran against the fastest pace of race and finished competively - I kind of us judgement but in the money finishes mostly the nice thing about the software i use is I can list each power line all together But I also can paper and pencil this step I get a good idea of what the early runners can do I then set the projected pace I then pick my lines with this projected pace and look for plus running lines from the other horses to pick my lines Its working very well BTW I like the Red match up manual its hard to read but I learn every time I read it Thanks Bill Last edited by admin; 12-28-2007 at 09:42 PM. |

I am using Rdss But I am only using the original lines I like how i can see all the lines together on the analysis screen But it would be very easy to write the numbers on paper I love sending the raw data as RAC files over to energy and thoromation from RDSS But thats another story I do find that typing in the lines or in some cases writing down the numbers does help me so I think you pencil and paper guys can get a benifit from that GS Bill |

I chose this race at todays Aqueduct because it seemed to be a good race using both Thoromation and the Match-Up.
To me, the race indicates other then early. I eventually came up with the following and would like opinions on this race. I want to see if my procedure is right and don't basically care who wins the race or who gets it right or wrong. This is basically a learning process for me. I want to keep an open mind to all methods open to me and am not opposed to learning something new. Last edited by partsnut; 02-17-2008 at 11:24 AM. |
